Barber Night S6 Ep. 1: Opening and Showcase Panel
Kamil Cesarski and Mateusz Poznański open the gala, then hand over to the Fade panel: Andrea Magri, Kacper Trzaskowski, and Kacper Orzechowski work side by side across three chairs.
About the course
The first episode of Barber Night S6. Kamil Cesarski and Mateusz Poznański open the gala at Butelkownia, introduce the stages and partners, then hand the main stage over to the Fade panel.
Working side by side across three chairs are Andrea Magri, Kacper Trzaskowski, and Kacper Orzechowski. Each one tackles the fade from a different angle, narrating live for an hour what they're doing and why.
Andrea Magri, an educator from Italy, planned a low taper with contrast, but after the first pass with the clippers he changed course and builds graduation from zero on curly blond hair - which he calls one of the hardest textures to layer. Kacper Trzaskowski from Toruń explains why a clean fade is, in his view, harder than long hair, and shows how to set the top of the graduation before ever touching the clippers. Kacper Orzechowski from Olsztyn blends a fade with design in the spirit of the Asian barbering scene, working purely on lengths without chasing shading.
This episode is a record of a live event, not a studio course. The work moves at the pace of the stage, with the host's questions and reactions from the crowd.
What you will learn
- 01Where to set the top of the graduation: head hollows and the zero line first, shape second
- 02The two-finger measurement against the head as the reference point for the highest guard
- 03Why with the broccoli cut, the top and side connect in a square shape and at high elevation
- 04Graduation before the fade: four sections at the back, four on the sides, diagonals toward the back, then blow-drying
- 05Adapting instead of recreating an Instagram photo - changing the plan after the first pass with the clippers
- 06A fade viewed horizontally is 99 percent round, tightening up around the temple
- 07Reading the blend by length instead of by shadow, even in low light
- 08How to blend design with a fade so the whole look keeps balance and consistency
