About the educator
Beata Berendowicz is a stylist and trendsetter from Opole and one of the best-known names in Polish hairdressing education. She is co-founder and artistic director of the Berendowicz & Kublin Academy, which she has run with Slawek Kublin since 2003, and a Schwarzkopf Professional ambassador. For more than 20 years she has trained new generations of hairdressers, specializing in her own techniques for women's cutting, color and styling. She holds the title of master craftsman. She has staged shows at the National Theatre and created hair for Miss Polonia, Elite Model Look, the Opole Festival, Fashion Week Poland and the Polish edition of Dancing with the Stars, and her work has been published in Twoj Styl, Elle, Viva! and Pani. In her work she focuses on understanding form and working with hair consciously, so that the look brings out the client's individuality.
Her trainings are live work on a model with commentary on every move: from organizing the workstation and lightener portions, through holding the section and folding the foil, to toning beside the client. She shows her own systems from salon work, which she tests and changes herself, rather than one right method.
What you will learn
- 01
Smart blonde: combined techniques
You'll learn to combine airtouch with shatush, zigzag and weaving so the front and underneath are very light while the top keeps a natural base.
- 02
Lightening in portions on the 12 algorithm
You'll see how to mix 10 g of powder with 50 g of 12% developer, change the bowl every 30 minutes and keep a creamy, lump-free consistency.
- 03
Blow out, board and foil
You'll master blowing out from the root from a section gathered flat, working with the board braced against your body, sliding the board out to the side and folding the foil without squeezing out the product.
- 04
Toning with three Igora Vibrance shades
You'll learn to blend the regrowth with a natural shade, neutralize the lengths with beige and brighten the front with the lightest toner, with red pigment against blueish tones.
- 05
Dry cut and curling iron waves
You'll see how to dry cut long hair quickly after a long color service, with curtain bangs, and style waves with straight ends.
