About the educator
Marek Maziarz has been cutting hair for 9 years, and for the past 5 has run Brothers' Barber Shop in Zabrze with his brother Filip, growing it into a nine-person team. He started out at a vocational hairdressing school, and built his craft over more than 4 years at Lucjan Wosek's salon. Behind the chair, he averages 300 clients a month, so every shortcut he teaches is proven in the salon's daily work. In his courses, he looks for the balance between repeatable commercial haircutting and an artistic approach to creating hairstyles.
He teaches task-by-task and to the point. He shows every shortcut in real work behind the chair and explains when it's worth using - and when it will hurt quality.

Partings derived from head structure
You'll learn his way of planning sections: the back from the natural parting to the ear, the side separated where the head curves most.

Cutting a circle with radial sections
You'll learn to build a round shape without redirection, with the guide section dropped loosely onto the occipital bone.

Redirection on the sides
You'll find out how redirecting the section shortens the front of the side, so the hair flows back into the hairstyle.

Controlling tension and skin stretch
You'll understand why cutting happens at the first two finger joints, and when to ease off so you don't cut too much.

You'll master refreshing a taper on two guards without touching the longer form, plus a styling approach that mimics a natural air-dry.
